Pontian MeiGui BBQ, a renowned eatery from Johor Bahru (JB) known for its freshly grilled seafood, has opened its doors in Singapore. Located at Bangkit 257 Coffee House in Bukit Panjang, this establishment has been serving their signature grilled fish for over three decades. Originally a family business managed by five siblings, they began as a roadside stall and have since expanded with two outlets in JB. Their Geylang outlet is their first venture into Singapore.
Menu Highlights:
- Sambal Stingray ($5 per 100g): Features large slabs of tender stingray generously coated with house-made sambal. The sambal is known for its spicy kick without being overly hot. The dish is complemented with cincalok, a fermented shrimp sauce.
- Sambal Sotong ($10): Succulent sotong stir-fried with sambal and lady’s finger. An alternative version, Sambal Sotong Petai ($13), includes lady’s finger and petai beans.
