
Saboten + Tagosaku, a new dining concept at Parkway Parade, combines the renowned tonkatsu brand Saboten with the okowa chain Tagosaku. This collaboration marks Tagosaku’s first international outlet outside Japan and Saboten’s third location in Singapore.
Menu Highlights:
- Okowa: A Japanese steamed rice dish mixed with various meats and vegetables. Saboten + Tagosaku offers five flavors: chicken, salmon, chestnut, red bean, and unagi. Each set includes two okowa choices, miso soup, and appetizers like tamagoyaki and stewed vegetables.
- Akauo Okowa Set ($20.50++): Features grilled Japanese red perch paired with chicken okowa.
- Karaage Okowa Set ($17.50++): Includes salmon and chestnut okowa with crispy karaage.
- Saboten Special Set ($23.50++): A tonkatsu set with tenderloin and loin katsu, fried ebi, Koshihikari rice, cabbage, and miso soup.
The eatery offers both takeaway and dine-in options, located in a convenient spot for office workers in the area. Situated on the first floor of Parkway Parade, the restaurant is currently a 20-minute bus ride from Eunos MRT Station. It will become more accessible with the upcoming Marine Parade MRT Station. Recommended for those who enjoy tonkatsu and okowa, especially for people living or working nearby. The takeaway counter is ideal for quick meals.
